Doctor Fantastique’s Show of Wonders is a worldwide Steampunk magazine consisting of a strong web presence and a print magazine published nine times a year. Our writers discuss news, fashion, literature, comics, and other areas of interest to the worldwide Steampunk community. Currently, there are staffers “on the ground” throughout the continental United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Australia covering the Steampunk movement in their respective areas. We’re always on the lookout for new talent across the organization — including bloggers, reporters, and photographers — however listed here are the positions we’re most in need of.

Advertising Sales Manager

We are looking for a fun, driven, experienced Advertising Manager to bring indie Steampunk magazine to the next level.

The ideal candidate will:

• Know how to balance time and money to keep the advertising pipeline filled
• Be able to outline and hit quarterly goals
• Have the ability to hire and grow the team under them
• Know how to reach out to new leads as well as keeping current advertisers active.

The right candidate will have 1 to 2 years experience in commissioned sales and a strong background in sourcing and turning leads. Preference is given to candidates local to Boston, Massachusetts, but we are willing to have the right candidate telecommute as well. Knowledge of Steampunk is preferred, but not required.

Pay is 20% straight commission on all ad sales.
