RAFM Miniatures – Space 1889 Figure Collection
13 days left and 8% funded at $1552 of $18,890
This week’s crowdfunder showcase comes from Indiegogo and was part of our last shout out. We’re giving them the top
spot this week to add a little oomph to their campaign. For those unfamiliar with the game, the Space 1889 Facebook page gives a nice run down of what it’s all about.
You can also view all the contestant photographs for the Collector’s Edition miniature. The winner, it so happens, was one Captain Aleister Kidd II, pictured here. The RAFM campaign is running a fixed funding effort, which means all or nothing. It’s a sizable need we’re looking at here, so please chip in if you can and spread the word to all your gaming friends!
Stephen Fry reads Oscar Wilde’s “The Happy Prince” – National Literacy Trust
6 days left and 16% funded at $4088 of $26,000
Also on Indiegogo this week, and we’re very sorry to have missed getting the word out about this one sooner, Stephen Fry reads Oscar Wilde’s short story, “The Happy Prince.” This is a charity effort on behalf of the National Literacy Trust.
Stephen Fry has already been filmed reading the story. Animation to compliment his narration is being produced as well. From the campaign page:
When completed, the 20 minute short film (and audiobook version) will be hosted on the National Literacy Trust’s, website. The charity’s literacy experts will create complementary resources for teachers to use in the classroom to help improve pupils’ literacy skills and introduce them to high-quality literature.
This is down to the wire, and quite a worthy effort. Please contribute if you can and do spread the word around the Ether!
