“Journey into Steampunk” Festival in Wales Cancelled

UPDATE 8/23:  The BBC is reporting that BB Black Dog and a few other bands are putting on a replacement event. Check out the details in the story run on the Wales section of the website.

With two days left until the festival date, Live Sound Promotion announced today on Facebook that its “Journey Into Steampunk” festival at The Workhouse in Llanfyllin, Powys, Wales has been cancelled. The event was to feature BB Black Dog, Abney Park, Professor Elemental, and many more Steampunk bands. Attendees are understandably upset with the cancellation at such a late date, although the promoters have promised refunds to everyone who already purchased tickets for the event.

This is the promoter’s statement from their website:

Live Sound Promotion's apologizes for cancelling festival.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the goings-on related to this cancellation.
