Capital effort, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Within the past two months, a handful of Steampunk projects have ventured forth to secure funding and each has found its needs met through the micro-lending opportunities presented by Kickstarter and Crowdfunder.

Doctor Fantastique’s Show of Wonders is no stranger to the world of micro-finance. Through our readership’s kindness and generosity, we were able to move the fourth issue of our print edition to a traditional offset press rather than POD, and for that we are both grateful and honored to have such a devoted readership.

We’re certain Professor Elemental, the crew of the S.S. Beatrix, and Airship Ambassador feel likewise towards the generous individuals who helped fund their efforts. We’d like to take a moment to offer our thanks on their behalf as well.

The quality of the Steampunk community as an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive bunch is evident in these fundraising successes. Well done, Everyone. Well done, indeed!

About AJ Sikes

AJ Sikes has worn several hats in his 40 years on Earth. A soldier's kevlar helmet, the toque of an apprentice pastry chef, the casual cut of a college English instructor. He once learned the culinary justification of In-N-Out's "animal style" while attending Julia Child's 91st Birthday Party in Napa, California.
